I propose you a simple and extremely quick tutorial to create your Before After images. Before After comparisons are interesting, for you and also to share them on your website or on social networks.
With Adobe Photoshop, you only need 30 seconds to make your Before After comparison !
I explain it in pictures below.
1. Open your “before” photo
To begin with, you have to open your “before” photo.
Do File / Open …
I apologize in advance that my screenshots are in French. But I tell you the translation in text so that you can understand !
Select your image and click Open.
2. Open your “after” photo
Perform the same operation for the “after” photo. Your file will open in a second window. You will have two windows open on Photoshop.
3. Enlarge your Canvas Size
In order to put your before after photos on the same image, you will need to have enough room to insert your second photo.
To do this, go to the “before” image, click Image, then Canvas Size.
If you want to place your before after images in the height direction (for landscape for example), it is necessary to multiply by two the height of the Canvas. In case you want to place your before after images in the width direction (portrait format), multiply the width of your Canvas by two.
To correctly place your image, put the “before” image at the top by clicking on the arrow pointing upwards that you see on the screenshot.
That’s it, your Canvas is ready to welcome your “after” image.
4. Insert your “after” photo
To insert your “after” photo, you have to select it by doing: Ctrl + A or (Command + A on Mac)
Then click on the Move tool and drag the image to the other tab where the Canvas was previously enlarged.
Just place your image correctly, and you are done!
In 30 seconds, you have your before after picture!
#Bonus: Make a before after image without Photoshop
Some of you do not have Photoshop, so as a bonus I offer you a simple solution to still achieve your before-after.
There is a website made especially for this, accessible here.
The only thing you have to do is upload both of your images.
After done that, you can get a code for copying and pasting on your website. The middle bar can be moved where you want on the picture (more left or more right). After moving it, you can also simply do a screenshot of the result and put it on your website.
As simple as that. I hope this tutorial was helpful to you!
Thank you for your visit, feel free to share on your social networks to support the blog! 🙂
